Our History
Slayd was born and raised in Parker City/Farmland, Indiana area and graduated from Monroe Central High School in 2006. I was born and raised in Winchester/Ridgeville, Indiana and graduated from Winchester High School in 2006.
We didn’t meet or know of each other till after graduation when mutual friends tricked us into meeting. We dated for a few years and then got engaged in February 2010 with a small wedding in August 2010. In December 2010, we purchased our 80-acre farm.
In 2011, Slayd graduated from IBEW Local 855 as well as obtained his associates from Ivy Tech. Slayd has always helped on his family’s farm starting when he could walk up to 2023 when we purchased Camp Red Wing, just not enough hours in the day to continue being a farm hand. Slayd started Milhollin Electric in 2014 then his brother became a partner in 2016. Milhollin Electric is thriving doing work in Randolph and surrounding counties with commercial and residential work.
I worked at Sallie Mae/Navient as a manager starting in 2008 through 2016 when I became a stay-at-home mom. We had our first child, Hallee, in July of 2013. Audree came in October of 2016 and Eilee came shortly after in April of 2018.
